What Coaching Do You Need?
Discovering Your Way offers three types of coaching – Life Coaching, Career Coaching and Executive Coaching. Click the link for the coaching that interests you, to the section below. We’ve designed a short questionnaire for each type of coaching we offer to help you discern what most fits you.
What I believe is true about you…
A wise person once said that there is wisdom in counsel – that getting advice, input and direction would make you wise and help you find your way. You know that. That is why you are here.
I’ve designed this section of the website to help you discern what coaching fits your life need right now.
All of my coaching is based on the same foundational philosophy – that you are a special person and uniquely gifted and capable; that what you need to do is find your way to a place the fits you and will bring you fulfillment and happiness, and; that you believe that change is possible.
There are three important points to my philosophy:
1That you are special and uniquely gifted and capable. Most people don’t know this. I know I didn’t. I spent most of my life living for others instead of discovering who I was.You may be in this situation. You may be going through life making decisions which are mostly based on what you think others want you to do instead of your own wisdom and desires. You may feel you have lost touch with who you really are and what you actually want from life. You may feel lost.Or, you may be hurting. You have gone through a pain experience and it has left you confused and wandering.Maybe you feel stuck and you know you are not living a life that is right for you. Life may feel heavy and difficult. Each day may be a struggle for you. The challenges of life have gotten you down and you don’t know how to find your way out again.
It is also telling you that you are not living up to the very special, uniquely gifted and capable person that you really are. This is all good news! Because now you know – and now you can do something about it!
2That you need to find a place that fits you. There is a place that fits you. And it fits you perfectly. You may not know that place and that’s OK. Most people don’t. But until there is alignment between who you are and the place you are in you will not be happy and fulfilled. You have a set of values, beliefs, motivations and abilities that are uniquely you. But if you are like most people they are hidden. Now is the time to uncover them and find your place.
3That you believe change is possible. More than half of the challenge of this journey will be you and whether you believe change is possible – even small change. I encourage you to love yourself enough to believe that there can be a different path for you. Even though you may have fears, start on the journey. There is light and safety just ahead.

Career Coaching
We all have certain things that bring us joy. When that happens there is an alignment of our real motivations to the activity we are engaged in. We also have certain things we are good at. Some of those things we’re motivated to do. Others we are not motivated to do.
When you are in the right place you are doing things that you are good at AND motivated to do. Most people are not happy with the job they are in because there is not a match between their motivations and abilities and the job they currently have.
So, if you feel unsatisfied with your present job/career or are trying to figure out what you want to do next, let us support you in that journey? Don’t think for a minute that getting career coaching is a sign of weakness or a sign of defeat. IN reality, using a career coach can be the smartest decision you make. Coaches can offer new directions, perspectives, and ideas, as well as expand thinking and encourage brainstorming in areas you wouldn’t go alone.
We can help you get to where you want to go much faster.
